Surge in foodbank use

Four times as many people are using Bristol North's Foodbank Photo: ITV News West Country

Last December our foodbanks fed more than a thousand people, including hundreds of children, but this month that figure is expected to be far, far higher.

The foodbank in Filton is open for just two hours a week.

According to the Trussell Trust, 45,000 people in the South West used foodbanks in the last six months

Earlier this year it was regularly getting 14 clients in that period. Recently it has provided food to 68 people in the same period.
