Substitute Marvin Elliott scored twice, as Bristol City came from behind to beat Carlisle 2-1 at Ashton Gate.

Brad Potts had given Carlisle the lead ten minutes before half-time.

The win lifts City out of the relegation zone.

  • SWINDON TOWN 0 - 1 OLDHAM ATHLETIC

Swindon Town suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat to Oldham. Jonathan Grounds scored the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute after substitute Jon Stead saw his shot blocked.

Town finished the match with 10 men after Troy Archibald-Henville was sent off for a second yellow card in added time.

  • CHELTENHAM TOWN 1 - 1 NORTHAMPTON TOWN

Cheltenham could only draw with bottom-of-the-table Northampton. Jamie Cureton had given the Robins a 2nd minute lead.

But Matty Blair rescued a point for Chris Wilder's new side in the 75th minute.

  • CHESTERFIELD 3 - 1 BRISTOL ROVERS

Bristol Rovers lost at league leaders Chesterfield. Lee Brown had equalised for Rovers after an early goal from Sam Morsy.

But the hosts scored two more goals on either side of half-time.

The Pirates are just one point above the drop zone.
