Bristol trialled cancer drug too expensive for NHS

A breast cancer drug trialled in Bristol that can extend life by almost six months has been turned down for use on the NHS because it is deemed 'too expensive'.

The consultant who led the trial of Kadcylca in the West has described the decision as "hugely dissapointing".

Now the boss of the health watchdog Nice is urging the drug's manufacturer to look at cutting the cost.
