Avon and Somerset Police made 180 arrests following a series of raids on homes and businesses. They carried out 69 search warrants yesterday as part of their biggest ever one day operation against offences including robbery, fuel theft and drug dealing.

Cannabis plants, cash and suspected stolen goods have been seized during the operation, which 900 police staff are involved in.

Operation Relentless started seven years ago and since then has been responsible for more than 2,100 arrests. Today is the 35th operation of its kind and will be the biggest in the force's history.
