Avon and Somerset Police made 180 arrests following a series of raids on homes and businesses. They carried out 69 search warrants yesterday as part of their biggest ever one day operation against offences including robbery, fuel theft and drug dealing.
More than 80 people have been arrested during police raids across Bristol and Somerset this morning. Avon and Somerset Police are targeting suspected offenders during a series of planned raids as part of Operation Relentless.
Cannabis plants, cash and suspected stolen goods have been seized during the operation, which 900 police staff are involved in.
A massive police operation is under way across the Bristol and Somerset area. 900 staff from the Avon and Somerset force are taking part, targeting offenders in a series of dawn raids.
Operation Relentless started seven years ago and since then has been responsible for more than 2,100 arrests. Today is the 35th operation of its kind and will be the biggest in the force's history.
