Local Election 2012: Conservatives and Labour go head to head in Swindon
Latest results from Swindon, where the whole council is up for election, 57 seats in total. The latest results show the Conservative have taken 9 seats and Labour 6.
Election expert, Professor Colin Rallings, had said that if Labour were to take Swindon it would show that the party had advanced significantly since last year. It seems it is a straight two-party fight between Labour and the Conservatives.
