Wiltshire Police are treating a fire that gutted a scrapyard as suspicious. It broke out on the West Wilts Trading Estate in Westbury last night. A 200m cordon was put in place because of fears over gas cylinders stored on the site. Melksham CID would like to hear from anyone with information.
The police are also warning that disruption caused by the fire will continue over the next few days as the damage is dealt with.

The West Wiltshire Trading Estate in Westbury was cordoned off this morning amid fears that gas cylinders could explode in a fire. Dozens of cars were burnt out in the fire which started last night but continued through the early hours. The trading estate has since re-opened.
