A soldier from the Royal Corps of Signals, based at Blandford Camp in Dorset, has been killed in Afghanistan.

Family pay tribute to soldier who died in Afghanistan

The family of a soldier killed while serving with Dorset-based The Royal Corps of Signals have paid tribute to him. Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Leonard Perran Thomas, 45, was killed alongside two colleagues on Sunday (July 1st).

Pez was a military man through and through. He thrived in extreme environments, both in the military and in his spare time. He was a keen climber and mountaineer and will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege to have met him.
