Man arrested after discovery of woman's body, is in hospital

Wiltshire police say a man arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Melksham, is receiving hospital treatment. The 51-year-old man was arrested yesterday on Exmoor.

He remains under arrest and is being guarded by police officers whilst in hospital. He is likely to be discharged in a few days and upon release from hospital will be taken to Melksham Police Station for interview.

Arrest made after woman's body found

A man is in custody tonight after a woman's body was found at a house in Wiltshire. Police launched a hunt for Richard Newton, who lived in the property in Melksham.

His car was later found on Exmoor in Somerset.

Mr Newton was arrested this morning after a tip-off by a member of the public.

Officers investigating discovery of woman's body make an arrest

Police searching for a man they want to speak to in connection with the discovery of a woman's body have made an arrest.

A 51-year-old man was held in Dulverton, Devon, this morning.

A 51-year-old man was arrested in Dulverton shortly before 9am.

Police in Wiltshire are appealing for help to locate a man in connection with an incident in Melksham.

Officers would like to speak to 51 year old Richard Newton after the body of a woman was found on Sunday morning.

A car he was driving was found at Brendon Common on Exmoor yesterday afternoon.
