Campaigning fighting for the rights of asylum-seekers have won the support of Bristol City Council.
Tonight councillors agreed to lobby the Government to change the laws regarding failed asylum-seekers so that they can get access to housing and benefits.
They want other councils to follow suit.
Dozens of campaigners have camped out on College Green in Bristol to raise awareness of the plight of asylum seekers. People refused asylum cannot work and have no access to benefits. Bristol City Council is debating how to help those affected in the city. Here's Tanya Mercer.
