Dozens of giant sculptures of Gromit, Aardman's famous animated dog, arrived in Bristol today. They'll be painted and put on display in July, before being sold off to raise money for the Childrens' Hospital.
Famous illustrators such as Raymond Briggs, who created The Snowman, and The Gruffalo's Axel Scheffler will be among those painting unique designs.
In July, 70 Gromit sculptures will be displayed in Bristol as part of a project called, 'Gromit Unleashed'. The sculptures arrived in the City today and will be decorated by international artists before they are set free.
This morning sees the arrival of 70 Gromit sculptures to Bristol. The much loved Aardman character will form part of a new arts trail in the city, and will soon be decorated by international and local artists. All of the Gromits will hit the city streets on the 1st of July.
They'll eventually be auctioned off to raise money for the city's Childrens' Hospital.
