People across the region - and country - are celebrating the Lunar New Year today, the most important annual holiday in Asia. It marks the transition between the Year of the Dragon to the start of the Year of the Snake.

...and they are named! Welcome Yinglong and Guangzhou
The first dragon boat is called Yinglong, the rainy dragon, and the second Guangzhou.
Mayor 'dots the eyes' and awakens new boats
It's considered bad luck to paddle a dragon boat that hasn't been awakened. The eye dotting ceremony brings them to life. Both boats are dressed with red. Their names are to be revealed shortly by Ian Elliot, from Bristol Empire Dragons.
