A man remains in custody after more than a hundred cars were damaged in the Cotham area of Bristol

Over one hundred parked cars in the Cotham district of Bristol were damaged in the early hours of this morning.

Residents awoke to find wing mirrors smashed on cars & vans parked along Hampton Road and Elgin Park. The police have appealed to motorists who haven't already reported damage to their vehicles to get in touch.

A 26 year old man has been arrested in connection with the incidents.

Police offer support after car damage in Cotham

Police have been providing support and information to owners of cars, vans and motorbikes in Cotham after hundreds were damaged in the area this morning.

Community support officers have handing out leaflets in the area to explain what's happened and to appeal to anyone who hasn't yet reported any damage.
