Two men have been charged following a knife attack on a man in Bath.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed seven times on Gay Street in the early hours of Sunday. He's been discharged from hospital. Karl Gordon and Nathan Dixon who are both from the city have been charged with grevious bodily harm. They're due to appear before Bath magistrates tomorrow.

A man has been take to hospital with stab wounds after being attacked in the centre of Bath in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The attack happened at around 2am in Gay Street. The area is still cordoned off by police.

The man, who is in his twenties, was taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition is described as serious but not life threatening.

Two men have been arrested and are in police custody. Officers say they are not looking for anyone else but are appealing for witnesses.

Det Insp Charlotte Tucker, the Senior Investigating Officer told ITV News: "There was a fight between a large group of males, one of the males involved has received some serious injuries and is currently up at the RUH in a serious but not life-threatening condition."
