Claassens to leave Bath

Bath scrum-half Michael Claassens has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.

Departing Bath scrum-half Michael Claassens says failure to end the season in the Premiership's top six places, and gaining qualification for next season's Heineken Cup, would constitute a failure.

Bath currently sit in sixth position in the table, but face a daunting final three games of the season against Harlequins, Leicester and Saracens.

Bath scrum-half Michael Claassens has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season to join French side Toulon.The 30-year-old South African has been at the West Country Premiership outfit for six years.

Claassens won the European Challenge Cup in his first season of 2008 and has been also been club captain for a season.
