Gloucester mosque arson

A mosque in Gloucester has been targeted in a suspected arson attack. Firefighters were called to the building early this morning, after CCTV showed a man using petrol to set the door alight. A man has been arrested and is in police custody.

Two men are due before Cheltenham magistrates following an arson attack on a mosque in Gloucester. Fire crews were called to Ryecroft Street just before one am on Tuesday to deal with a small fire.

Clive Ceronne from Gloucester and Ashley Juggins from Cheltenham have been charged with conspiracy to commit arson.

Second arrest over suspected arson at mosque

A second man has been arrested in connection with a fire at a mosque in Gloucester.

The 20-year-old from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of arson. A 37 year old man from Gloucester has also been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Police say CCTV shows a man pouring petrol around the door of the mosque on Ryecroft Street and setting it alight before being driven away by a second offender.
