Thousands have turned out for the summer solstice at Stonehenge

21 thousand people enjoy Summer Solstice

Twenty one thousand people have been at Stonehenge in Wiltshire to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Although it was too cloudy for a spectacular sunrise. Police say crime levels were down on previous years - there were twenty two arrests and seventy cautions for cannabis possession.

Thousands of people gathered in Wiltshire this morning for the annual summer solstice. They were were there to mark the longest day of the year. The Solstice was also celebrated at Avebury stone circle too.
