The Met Office says heatwave warnings for the south west have now been downgraded - with forecasters confirming temperatures have cooled.
Just yesterday organisers of this year's Royal International Air Tattoo asked visitors to come prepared and brought in extra water to give to the crowds.
But instead of hot weather, their main concern was whether cloud would stop displays going ahead.

An F-16AM Fighting Falcon lands using a patriotic parachute. The aircraft flew in from Volkel in the Netherlands where it is based with 312 and 313 Squadrons of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

An apache helicopter performs for the crowds at the Royal International Royal Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. The show opened today with more than 130,000 people expected to attendover the two days.
Travelling by car
Motorists are urged to follow the 'colour-coded' signs to and from RAF Fairford to ensure swifter access to and from the Air Tattoo. Road signs will direct traffic to the main designated entry routes via the A417 and A419.**
Additional overflow routes also exist to relieve congestion on all the main routes.
Drivers should however be aware that once in the vicinity of RAF Fairford, they will be directed onto the designated RIAT routes as agreed with the Police (see above).

Travelling by train
With fast, direct rail services to Swindon from London, Oxford, Wales and the West, the easiest way to arrive at the Air Tattoo is to catch a train to Swindon and then transfer to an express shuttle bus bound for RAF Fairford.

On Saturday and Sunday, a return bus service is run from Swindon Bus Station to the show. The first bus incoming to RAF Fairford leaves Swindon Bus Station at 7:00am and the last incoming bus leaves Swindon Bus Station at 12:30pm.
The first outgoing bus to Swindon Bus Station leaves RAF Fairford at 2:00pm and the last outgoing bus leaves RAF Fairford at 7:30pm. Single tickets are priced £3.50 (adult) and £2.00 (child). Return tickets are priced £6.00 (adult) and £4.00 (child).
Organisers of this weekends RAF Fairford Air Tattoo are warning people to come prepared - with plenty of sun screen - and leave any pets at home.
Poor weather has blighted the event in recent years but huge crowds are expected this weekend to see aircraft that have flown in from across the world.
