Hospital helipad completed

Work has finished on the construction of the new helipad on the roof of the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

A landmark step in the re-development of the Bristol Royal Infirmary was completed today. A new helipad means patients can get vital treatment more quickly.

But, although many air ambulances from across the region will be able to use it, the Great Western Air Ambulance, serving Bristol and South Gloucestershire will still have to land on the Downs.
