More than a hundred people have taken part in the procession this morning in Southville, Bristol. The puppets have been made at Tobacco Factory workshops over the past two days - part of the Bristol Festival of Puppetry, which runs until 8 September.
The ten-day Bristol Festival of Puppetry runs until 8 September and includes activities, exhibitions and performances. Most of the events take place in and around the Tobacco Factory Theatre in Southville, Bristol.
Today's 'Creatures of Bristol Carnival' procession will involve up to 150 people, including many children, musicians and local artists. They will process from the Tobacco Factory Theatre to North Street Green and back again, starting at 12pm.
Many of the creatures have been made at the Tobacco Factory's puppet workshops over the last two days. The event is part of the Bristol Festival of Puppetry.
