Inquest in Oxford records the two corporals were unlawfully killed while on active service in Afghanistan.
An inquest has resumed into the deaths of two British soldiers killed on foot patrol in Helmand Province.
Corporal David O'Connor, a royal marine from Havant, and Corporal Channing Day from 3 Medical regiment died in a gun battle on October 24th last year.
A third man, thought to be an off-duty Afghan policeman, was also killed in the incident.
The coroner in Oxford said the inquest would hear evidence to discover whether the deaths were caused by an insider attack.
