Five men jailed for armed robbery at jewellers

Five men have today been sentenced to a total of 22 years and 8 months for their parts in an armed robbery at a Marlborough jewellers last September.

Men entered Deacon & Sons jewellers shortly before 9:45am on Tuesday September 17th last year and began smashing display cabinets and grabbing jewellery before jumping into a waiting car and speeding away.

Five men have been sentenced to a total of nearly 23 years for their parts in an armed robbery at a Marlborough jewellers last September.The men entered Deacon & Sons jewellers and began smashing display cabinets and grabbing jewellery before jumping into a waiting car and speeding away.

Marcus Delroy Cohen, 33, Paul Gallimore, 33, and Linton Daren Summerfield, 20 were arrested and later charged with robbery, after the car they attempted to flee in, crashed on the A419 near the Great Western Hospital.

The two remaining men, Leroy Green, 35 and Cristian Coulston, 20, were also arrested and later charged with robbery in October and November last year. The gang was from Coventry.

Men appear in court over jewellers raid

Three men have appeared in court charged with the robbery of a jewellery store in Wiltshire.

Deacon & Son Jewellers on Marlborough High Street was raided on Tuesday morning. A car used to flee the scene was later set alight.

A second vehicle then crashed close to the Great Western Hospital. The men charged are all from the Coventry area.

Smash and grab jewellery raid

Police in Wiltshire are investigating the dramatic events surrounding a smash and grab raid on a jewellers. It happened this morning at a family business in Marlborough.

Three hooded men barricaded themselves inside the shop before making off in a car driven by a fourth man. Tonight three men are in custody.
