Emotions are running high as thousands of Glastonbury ticket hopefuls lost out this morning. The website crashed for the first half hour due to the volume of hits. Nearly a million people had registered, but today's 120,000 tickets sold out in a record 1 hour 27 minutes.
Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2014 are selling at 3000 per minute, according to Emily Eavis, organiser and daughter of the founder, Michael Eavis. They went on sale at 9am this morning (Sunday 6 October).
The remaining 120,000 tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2014 will go on sale at 9am this morning. Registration has already closed, meaning anyone not registered will not be able to buy tickets. 15,000 coach + ticket packages sold out on Thursday 3 October.
