Police investigating a serious sexual assault on a 19-year-old woman have released CCTV footage of men they want to speak with.

The attack happened in the Clifton suburb of Bristol last week. Last night - a week after the assault - police increased patrols of the area.

Police hope releasing CCTV pictures will help enquiry

"These CCTV images are very clear and I would like to appeal to these three men and the skateboarders to come forward.

This area was still very busy when this incident took place and I believe there are people who may have information vital to my investigation.

I would ask them to come forward and call us on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

CCTV footage released by police

Police in Bristol investigating a serious sexual assault have released images of three men they would like to talk to.

The sexual assault occurred at around 12.50am on Thursday 10th October 2013 in Belgrave Road, Clifton.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was walking home from a night out when she was attacked.

The CCTV footage shows three men in the Green House pub on Park Street Bristol prior to the incident taking place.

Officers believe that, unknown to them, these men may hold have valuable information that could progress the enquiry.

They would also like to speak to three skateboarders who were seen close to the Whiteladies Scooters shop on Whiteladies Road on the same night.

Police on streets over sex assault

Extra police have been on patrol in a Bristol neighbourhood after a teenager was subject to a serious sexual assault.

The 19 year-old woman was attacked a week ago in a street in Clifton. Detectives are hunting two men believed to have been responsible. They're expected to release further details later.

Police patrolling after serious sexual attack

Extra police will be on patrol in central Bristol tonight following the serious sexual assault of a 19 year old woman.

She was assaulted close to a busy road in the Clifton area of the city last week.

Officers say they will be seeking to reassure people while trying to gather more evidence on the attack which took place in Belgrave Road in the early hours of Thursday 10th October.

Police in Bristol will be patrolling the streets of Clifton tonight to reassure people following last week's alleged rape.

Officers will be talking to students about personal safety.

A 19-year-old woman was attacked in Belgrave Road as she walked home in the early hours of last Thursday. She's been receiving support at a specialist unit for victims of sexual assault.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or knows the person responsible should contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101.

Police in Bristol are investigating a sexual assault in Clifton in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called to Belgrave Road around 1am after receiving a call reporting that a woman had been sexually assaulted.

She was walking home from a night out when a man attacked her before leaving in the direction of Cotham Hill.

The victim was taken to the Bridge, a dedicated centre to support victims of rape and sexual assault and is being supported by officers from Operation Bluestone – a specialist team dedicated to investigating sexual assault.

The scene remains cordoned off this morning while officers continue their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or knows the person responsible should contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101.
