The 26 year old police officer from Bristol was seriously injured after falling through a garage roof while chasing a suspected burglar.

Chris remains in a stable condition and while he is responding positively to treatment he still has serious injuries.

A police officer from Bristol has been seriously injured after falling through a garage roof while chasing a suspected burglar. Chris Hardaway, who's 26, suffered serious head injuries after crashing through the roof in Redland early this morning.

He's currently in Frenchay Hospital in a critical condition. Colleagues today described Mr Hardaway as "brave and courageous".
