Relief agencies in the West have begun sending aid to the disaster zone in The Philippines.
The Red Cross in Bristol is sending emergency response staff while 600 boxes of water purification equipment is being sent from a rotary club in Somerset.

The Red Cross says its priority is getting equipment to help charity workers operate in the Phillipines as they send boxes of aid from Bristol.
The charity spent the night packing boxes ready to be sent to help typhoon survivors.
The British Red Cross has spent the night packing emergency supplies and kits at their warehouse in Bristol to send to help typhoon survivors in the Philippines.
From there the provisions will be taken to Stanstead airport, hopefully arriving at their destination by Wednesday morning.
The typhoon has left thousands without a home and many struggling to find food or water.
