A teenager accused of murdering his girlfriend and killing her unborn child has appeared in court.

16-year old Kayleigh Palmer from Cheltenham died 3 days after being found unconscious with a scarf around her neck.

Her boyfriend Aston Robinson denies the charges and will face trial later this year.

Man charged over Kayeigh Palmer's murder pleads not guilty

A Gloucestershire man has denied murdering his girlfriend and destroying her unborn baby.

18-year old Aston Robinson is accused of strangling 16-year old Kayleigh Palmer with a scarf whilst she was five months pregnant.

He appeared at Bristol Crown Court today by video-link and pleaded not guilty to one charge of murder and one of child destruction. Kayleigh, who was from Bishops Cleeve in Gloucestershire, died on April 5th, three days after she was attacked at an address in Humber Road.

A trial date has been provisionally set for September 22 and is expected to last at least two weeks.
