Fans of Shaun the Sheep can watch sculptures of the Aardman Animations character come to life from today.

Ahead of an art trail in Bristol next summer, a unit at the Galleries Shopping Centre in the city centre is being used as a studio.

Local artists will be transforming the blank sheep canvasses into works of art.

Time for Shaun to have his 'day in the sun'

After the success of last year's Gromit Unleashed campaign Shaun the Sheep will take the stand and fundraise for Bristol Children's Hospital.

120 sculptures will be placed across Bristol and London this Autumn.

The creator of the UK's favourite children's character, Nick Park, has been closely involved with designing them and setting up the 'Trail of two cities'.

Shaun sculptures in a trail of two cities

After Gromit fever swept through Bristol last year with thousands upon thousands flocking to see patterned sculptures placed around the city - Aardman will have another character invading next year.

'Shaun in the City' will see 120 Shaun the Sheep sculptures on the streets of Bristol and London - each painted by celebrities and artists.
