Rovers Boss tells fans to blame the board not the players

Bristol Rovers Director Chris Jelf has called on fans to take out their frustrations on the board, not the players, following the side's poor start to the season. In a statement on the club's website he also says children will be allowed in free again this weekend

We understand that you are all hugely frustrated, and as a Board of Directors we must take responsibility for the current situation. It is very important therefore that any frustrations are aimed at the Board, and not at the players.

I know that you will continue to give the players and manager 100% positive vocal support at the Memorial Stadium for Saturday’s game.

We all know that goals win games, and we have made several attempts in the last ten days to strengthen our squad and bring a new striker to the club. I can assure you that the board will continue to support Darrell in his search for a new target man and we hope to see a new addition to the squad very soon.
