Bristol City leave it late to stay top of League One

There were wins for all our League One sides.

Bristol City needed a late goal to beat Crawley and stay top of League One.

Luke Ayling's volley three minutes from time keeps them one point ahead of West Country rivals Swindon, who won 3-0 at Notts County. Andy Williams scored twice with Massimo Luongo also on-target at Meadow Lane.

Gary Johnson will be celebrating tonight after beating his son Lee's team. Yeovil won 4-0 at Oldham, thanks to goals from Steve Arthurworrey, Simon Gillett, Sam Hoskins and Kieffer Moore.

In League Two, a stunning late equaliser from teenage sub Zack Kotwica earned Cheltenham a 1-1 draw at Mansfield.

A shock at the Memorial Stadium as Bristol Rovers lost at home to Bath City.

There was a shock in the FA Trophy this afternoon as Bath City won 2-0 at Bristol Rovers. Chas Hemmings and Frankie Artus scored the goals in the second half for the Conference South team.

Forest Green Rovers and Didcot will need a replay after a 2-2 draw at the New Lawn. Rovers chucked away a two-goal lead given to them by Jon Parkin and Marcus Kelly.

And Weston-super-Mare lost 3-1 at home to Farnborough.

Gloucester maintain 100% record in Europe

Wins for Gloucester and Bristol today.

Gloucester have kept up their 100% record in the Challenge Cup. The Cherry and Whites scored four tries in a 32-16 win at Italian side Zebre. Steve McColl, Henry Purdy, Charlie Sharples and Ben Morgan crossed the line to secure the five-point win.

And in the British and Irish Cup, Olly Robinson scored a hat-trick of tries as Bristol won 32-14 at Connacht. The win guarantees them a home tie in the quarter-finals.

Yeovil Town 'in the hat' after draw with Accrington

Draws for all our teams today.

Yeovil Town will be 'in the hat' for Monday's FA Cup Third Round draw, after a 1-1 stalemate at Accrington Stanley.

Jordan Clarke put the Glovers ahead on the half hour, but the League Two side forced a replay with a 64th minute equaliser.

Bristol City and Cheltenham Town are both in action tomorrow against Conference opposition. Steve Cotterill's men host Telford, while Paul Buckle's new side take on Dover at Whaddon Road.

In the Conference today, Forest Green Rovers could only draw 1-1 with Altrincham. Kurtis Guthrie had given Rovers the lead in the 7th minute, but the visitors earned a share of the points early in the second half.

And Bristol Rovers drew 0-0 at Welling.

Two players from the West Country have played a major part in England's 26-17 win over Australia at Twickenham.

Gloucester's Ben Morgan scored two tries, with the rest of England's points coming from the boot of Bath's George Ford.

Swindon still one point behind leaders Bristol City

Bristol City got back to winning ways last night with a comfortable 3-0 win at League One promotion rivals Peterborough.

City had lost their last two games, but Luke Freeman scored twice, with Aaron Wilbraham also finding the net at London Road.

Swindon Town are just one point behind after a 1-0 win over Fleetwood. Sub Ben Gladwin headed the winner four minutes from time.

Yeovil Town lost 2-0 at home to third-placed Preston, and also had Ryan Inniss sent off for a bad foul in the second half.

In League Two, new Cheltenham Town manager Paul Buckle saw his side draw 1-1 with Oxford at Whaddon Road. Town were unable to hold on to Byron Harrison's goal early in the second half.

Bristol Rovers are up to third in the Conference after a 2-0 win over Welling. Matty Taylor (penalty) and Nathan Blissett with the goals in the second half.

And Forest Green Rovers were 2-1 winners over Dartford, thanks to goals from Eddie Oshodi and James Norwood.

Swindon Town just one point behind Bristol City

There were wins for Swindon and Yeovil in League One today.

League One leaders Bristol City have suffered back-to-back defeats. Steve Cotterill's men lost 1-0 at home to third-placed Preston. Callum Robinson scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute. Aaron Wilbraham and Aden Flint both wasted good chances for City.

Swindon Town are now just one point behind City after a 2-1 win at Peterborough. Andy Williams and Jon Obika on-target for Town, before Joe Newell pulled a goal back in stoppage time.

Yeovil Town have climbed off the bottom of the table after coming from behind to beat ten-man Notts County. The hosts had Gary Jones sent off for a two-footed tackle, then went ahead when Mike Petrasso latched onto a poor backpass. But Jordan Clarke scored twice in the last ten minutes to secure the three points for Gary Johnson's men.

In League Two, Cheltenham Town lost 4-1 at home to Wycombe, despite taking a third minute lead through Steve Elliott. The Robins also had Lee Vaughan sent off in the first half.

In the Conference, Bristol Rovers threw away a two goal lead in a 2-2 draw at Chester. All the goals came in the second half. Nathan Blissett - on his debut - and Tom Parkes scored for Rovers, but the hosts rescued a point with two goals in two minutes.

And Forest Green Rovers drew 0-0 at Dover.
