Catherine Wells-Burr death: Two in court

A man and a woman accused of being involved in the murder of a Somerset woman are due to appear in court today.

Catherine Wells-Burr's body was found in a burning car last month.

31-year-old Rafal Nowak and 32-year-old Anna Julia Lagwinowicz have both been charged with conspiracy to murder.

The 23 year old's body was found inside her burning Ford Focus car off the A358 near Ilminster in September by firefighters.

Yesterday Catherine's 31-year-old boyfriend Rafal Nowak appeared in court charged with conspiracy to murder her. He's been remanded in custody. A 38-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder has been released on bail.

Police believe Catherine was killed elsewhere

Police investigating the death of Catherine Wells-Burr whose body was found in a burnt-out car in Ashill in Somerset believe she was killed elsewhere.

They're appealing for information about her red car, possibly being followed by another vehicle.

The development emerged as her boyfriend became the second person to appear in court charged with conspiracy to murder.

Motorists travelling along the A358 this morning have been asked to cast their minds back to Wednesday 12th September when the body of Catherine Wells-Burr was found.Drivers with any information could report it to officers who were at the location near Ilminster between 5 and 7am.

Boyfriend due in court over death of Catherine Wells-Burr

A second person is due in court this morning following the death of Catherine Wells-Burr who's body was found in a burning car in Ashill in Somerset last week.

Catherine's boyfriend, 31 year old Rafal Nowak will appear at Bristol magistrates court.

A 38 year old man remains in police custody where he is being questioned.

Mr Nowak's former partner was in court yesterday to face the same charge

Police will be speaking to motorists this morning close to the scene a week on from the incident.

Police are at the scene this morning, where exactly a week ago a 23-year-old woman's body was found in a burning car.

They want to speak to motorists who may have information about the death of Catherine Wells-Burr. People travelling along the A358 will be asked to cast their minds back to Wednesday [12th] when Miss Wells-Burr's body was found.

The officer leading the investigation is keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time - in particular anyone who saw a red Ford Focus 5 door hatch back in company with another vehicle.

Today, Catherine's 31-year-old boyfriend Rafal Nowak will appear in court charged with conspiracy to murder her. Mr Nowak's former partner was in court yesterday to face the same charge.
