Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll is hoping tonight's Capital One Cup tie at Premier League Southampton will provide a welcome distraction from his team's league form.

"They will be fluid because that is what the Premier League is all about," he told the club's website. "They went to Anfield and restricted a free flowing Liverpool side from getting into their rhythm

"I watched their game against West Ham, we've watched a video of them against Barnsley and had someone watching them at Anfield, so I don't think there is any more we could do in terms of preparation."

In the last round City beat another Premier League team with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
