'Cornish' a double winner at the World Pasty Championships

Graham Cornish from Liskeard claimed two top prizes at the first-ever World Pasty Championships at Cornwall's Eden Project. The first was for a traditional skirt beef and vegetable Cornish Pasty and the other was in the Open Savoury category, for his smoked Cornish fish and clotted cream offering

St Piran's Day Cornish language campaign

Events are taking place to celebrate St Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall and a campaign has begun to get people speaking at least one word of Cornish. The language campaigners want us to use - meurras, pronounced M'Raz - instead of thank you - and hope "Meurras Day" will become an annual event
