Dancer arrives in Lands End after dancing across Britain

35 year-old teacher Ben Hammond finally arrived in Lands End on Saturday 27 July after dancing from John O'Groats.

It’s just brilliant to have finally made it to Land’s End. It’s been a long road getting to this point but with the support of so many volunteers, dancers and donors it’s great that my 3 million dance steps across Britain have helped to raise the £40,000 target I set out to achieve for four important charities. Hopefully this money can go some way to help those in Burma who haven’t had the freedoms that many in the UK have, and the successful completion of the challenge can show what ordinary people can achieve when they set their mind (and feet) to it.

Ben Hammond started his 1,400 mile mission last year to raise awareness of human rights issues in Burma. It's hoped the man in a tutu will arrive at his destination at Land's End tomorrow - this shot of the team was taken in the shadow of St Michael's Mount this morning.
