People living in Dunster are being invited to have their say on new paving in the Somerset village.

Stone slabs were fitted on West Street earlier this year, after calls to improve the pavement for the safety of pedestrians. But the the colour of the stone has not proved popular and even English Heritage has expressed its dismay.

Somerset County Council is now asking residents to help pick alternative designs.

  • Keep the existing footway as it is
  • Darken the existing footway
  • Replace the footway with reclaimed Pennant paving stone
  • Replace the footway with Brecon Grey paving stone
