People living in Dunster are being invited to have their say on new paving in the Somerset village.
Stone slabs were fitted on West Street earlier this year, after calls to improve the pavement for the safety of pedestrians. But the the colour of the stone has not proved popular and even English Heritage has expressed its dismay.
Somerset County Council is now asking residents to help pick alternative designs.
- Keep the existing footway as it is
- Darken the existing footway
- Replace the footway with reclaimed Pennant paving stone
- Replace the footway with Brecon Grey paving stone
People choose which option they prefer here.
The main road through Dunster will be closed from this morning for major road and water works improvements.
The A369 will be closed to traffic for several weeks. Wessex Water and Somerset County Council are working on the road at the same time to minimise disruption. A diversion through the Somerset village will be in place.
There are concerns over plans by the Crown Estate to sell off dozens of homes in Somerset, which it's claimed will leave some tenants homeless.
The Crown Estate, which is one of the largest landowners in the country, is planning to sell off up to 45 of its properties around Taunton and Dunster.
Tenants are being given the option to either buy, or up to six months notice period to vacate their properties.

The A39 between Minehead and Exmoor is closed due to a serious accident involving a motorcyclist and a walker at Dunster Steep. It happened outside the Exmoor Visitor Centre. The pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital.
Traffic is having to be diverted across Exmoor and it is causing major delays in the area
The Dunster Beach Summer Festival starts today (Sunday).
The three day event near Minehead features an emergency and rescue services day, a dog show, archery and a camera obscura.
