Hundreds expected for Fred Wedlock charity event
by Eli-Louise WringeHundreds of people including famous faces from the world of music and showbusiness will gather tonight (Friday) to pay tribute to a man best described as a "West Country Legend."
Fred Wedlock was an HTV presenter and musician with hits such as "The Oldest Swinger in Town." He died two years ago and his family have organised tonight's charity event as a way of marking what would have been his 70th birthday.

Fred Wedlock memorial concert tonight
A memorial concert to celebrate the life of HTV presenter and entertainer Fred Wedlock is being held later today. It's been organised by family and friends as a way of marking what would have been Fred's 70th birthday. Somerset-based clarinetist Acker Bilk is among those performing.
The concert takes place tonight at Conygre Hall in Timsbury.
