A woman has been airlifted to hospital following a fall at a horse riding event. It is understood the rider, who is in her 20s, had been taking part in the early stages of the cross country event at the Hartpury Horse Trials in Gloucestershire.
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance division was called at 8.36am today following reports a woman at the equine school in Hartpury, Gloucestershire, had been injured.
She was taken via helicopter to Frenchay Hospital.
Disabled riders are among those competing at the Festival of Dressage in Hartpury in Gloucestershire this week, all hoping that their performance will see them on the road to paralympic glory. The event acts as the final selection trial for the games.
Britain's Olympic dressage team will also be taking part at the festival.
