The coastguard say their search for a four year old boy who has been missing since slipping from the jetty at Burnham-on-Sea yesterday afternoon is now a search and recovery operation.

Last night we searched up until about half past ten with helicopters and boats in the water and the search continued on the shore until about half past one in the morning where it was scaled down slightly. It resumed again at first light but we're now definitely into what we would call a search and recovery operation.
