There are fears a popular outdoor swimming pool in Devon could close if the money isn't found to save it.
Volunteers who manage Topsham pool near Exeter say a £100,000 is needed for repairs and improvements.
The pool, which opens for the Summer months is now losing water in its filtering system.
An appeal has begun to try and save it spearheaded by Colin Long.
It's the 50th anniversary of the Portishead Open Air Lido today and a range of events are being planned to celebrate.
There will be fairground rides, zorb walking and a balloon race.
Volunteers at the lido will also be recreating the moment when the pool was officially opened by Alderman Smith. To mark the opening Mr Smith poured a kettle of hot water into the pool. Today a similar kettle pouring ceremony will be conducted by North Somerset MP Liam Fox.
