A man has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison for making explosives in his garage. 52-year-old Martin Counsell from Cheltenham was found guilty today of making unlawful explosive substances by Gloucester Crown Court.

He was arrested when explosives were found in some garages in the town last week. He's been charged with making an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose.
