It's emerged that a lorry driver who killed a young couple on a round the world cycling trip has been fined the equivalent of 18 pounds by authorities in Thailand.
Mary Thompson grew up in Bristol and met her partner Peter Root when they were students in Falmouth.
They had already cycled across Europe, the Middle East and China when they were hit by a truck near Bangkok last year.
