Students at the National Star College at Ullenwood near Cheltenham are celebrating today [Thursday] after getting through to the semi finals of the ITV programme Food Glorious Food.
The college has its own restaurant - The Star Bistro - in which students can gain work experience. They helped to create a dish called a Pimms Jelly. The desert tickled the judge's taste buds and won first prize in the show's regional heats, which were hosted by Lloyd Grossman and Carol Vorderman
Whichever dish wins the final will be re-created and sold on the high street by Marks & Spencer.
The Prime Minister says disabled students at the National Star College in Cheltenham should not suffer from a change in the way it's funded. The area's MP, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, claims that its future is in doubt as money will be allocated by local authorities rather than centrally.
