West country people recognised in New Year Honours

A lollipop lady and a BAFTA-winning actress from the West Country are among those recognised in the Queen's New Year's honours list. As ever, people from all walks of life here in the region have been honoured.

New Year's Honours List

The New Year's Honours list includes a host of names from across the region.

Diana Lewis who founded the North Devon Animal Ambulance, gets a British Empire Medal.

Betty & John Insley have been foster carers in Plymouth for 35 years, fostering more than 200 children. They'll be made MBEs for services to children and families.
