Gold medallist Josie Pearson gets stamp of approval
Paralympic discuss thrower Josie Pearson from Bristol has been honoured with a stamp after winning a gold medal yesterday [Friday].
She won in the Field Women’s Discus F51/52/53.
The stamp **will be available in Post Offices across the country within the next five days.
This is the first time that a set of stamps has been issued to celebrate Paralympic gold medallists from the host country.
Paralympic gold medallist Josie Pearson hopes win will encourage others to achieve dreams
Paralympic discus thrower Josie Pearson from Bristol says she hopes winning a gold medal will encourage others to achieve their dream too. She set three world records yesterday [Friday] to claim gold. She launched the disc out to 6.58 metres with her third throw of the competition.
Josie had to work hard after breaking her neck in a car accident when she was 17.

Paul Blake talks about his bronze medal
Dorchester's Paul Blake has been talking about his bronze medal winning run in last night's 800m T36 final.
The 22 year old, who has cerebral palsy, came home in 2:08.24 – a time that would have earned him gold in Beijing four years ago.
Pearson sets new world record and wins Gold
Bristol's Josie Pearson has won a gold medal in the F51 discus event at the Paralympics.
The 26-year-old Bristolian set a new world record with a distance of 6.58 metres.
Criddle's success celebrated with stamp
Taunton's Deborah Criddle and her gold-medal winning equestrian team-mates are to feature on a new postage stamp.
Royal Mail has produced a stamp to honour Criddle, Sophie Christiansen, Lee Pearson and Sophie Wells. It will be available in Post Offices across the country tomorrow.
A post box in Criddle's home village of Trull near Taunton is also being painted gold this morning.

Corsham's Stephanie Millward won her third silver medal of the Paralympic Games last night in the Women's 200m Individual Medley SM9 final.
The 30-year-old once again finished behind her South African rival Natalie Du Toit.
Millward's other silver medals came in the 400m freestyle and 100m backstroke, and she also claimed a bronze as part of the 4x100m freestyle relay.

Dorchester's Paul Blake, who trains at the University of Bath, has followed up his silver medal success with a bronze in last night's 800m. The 22 year old, who has cerebral palsy, came home in 2:08.24. He has made his debut at London 2012 and says it's an honour to put the GB vest on every time.
Ben Rushgrove wins bronze in 200m T36 final
Ben Rushgrove from Bath has won a bronze tonight. He finished third in the final of the men's 200m T36.
He ran the race in a time of 24.83 seconds.
