Chameleons seized from animal smugglers: Full Report
David Woodland reports on the African chameleons seized from animal smugglers being cared for at a zoo in West Somerset. Tropiquaria is one of several zoos in the south west looking after more than 50 horned chameleons. They were recovered along with more than 150 wild birds in Belgium.
A collection of Cornish maritime memorabilia has sold for £10,825 at auction in Penzance.The lots included 15th Century canon balls which were dredged from the River Fal. The collection was built up by the Newman family, who ran the Smugglers Cottage tea room on the Roseland Peninsula.
