Two men appeared in court this morning (Tues 22nd) accused of the murder of 20-year-old soldier Dave Curnow.
Liam Laing, 21, of Chacewater, Cornwall, and Conner Hammond, 21, of Redruth, Cornwall, spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth.
They are both charged with murdering Mr Curnow, a member of 4 Rifles who spent six months fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2013.
Both defendants were remanded in custody and will have a bail hearing in front of a judge at Bristol Crown Court via video link tomorrow.
The funeral of Sergeant Nigel Coupe is taking place at today. Sergeant Coupe was one of the six Warminster-based soldiers killed by a Taliban bomb in Afghanistan last month.
