A woman from Cirencester who was exposed to radioactive uranium cells while working with British forces in Iraq has begun stem-cell treatment which she hopes will save her life.

A former army medic from Gloucestershire has been told she has just months to get treatment for a potentially fatal condition.

Katrina Brown from South Cerney believes the illness was caused by exposure to uranium while she was serving in Iraq. She's trying to raise £100,000 to travel to America to get treated.
