Community group, Voice in the Community objects to the way St Pauls Carnival is being run and says if the main event happens in Portland Square, it cannot hold its original name.
The carnival, due to be held in July, is one of the country's biggest celebrations of Afro-Caribbean culture. But a community group objects to the way it is being run and that the main events will now be in Portland Square, outside St Paul's itself.
Artistic co-ordinator Julz Davies says he's stepping down because he says local people have not been kept informed.
