Tornado steam locomotive visits the South West

The famous Tornado steam locomotive has been travelling through Devon and Cornwall.

Tornado started out from London Paddington this morning and is due to arrive in Penzance this afternoon.

It's the first mainline steam locomotive built in the UK since 1960.

Flying Scotsman makes flying visit

The world's most famous locomotive - the Flying Scotsman passed through Swindon this week. It came as the railway town celebrates 175 years of industry.

The steam train has been recently renovated and is touring the country.

Celebrating the re-opening of the Gloucestershire to Warwickshire railway

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWR) has been officially re-opened following £1 million repairs to collapsed embankments.

Volunteers celebrated by travelling along the railway's full 12 mile length for the first time since 1979.

The Gloucestershire to Warwickshire railway line has been officially re-opened following £1 million repairs to collapsed embankments.

The railway is now open along its full 12 mile length for the first time since 1979.
