Western Power say around 2,000 homes across the South West have been left without power after strong winds and rain overnight. Teams are currently being sent to the worst affected areas to try and repair damaged lines and restore electricity.
A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Doniford Stream in the Sampford Mill Farm area. Flooding is expected for Sampford Brett Bridge on the A358 and Sampford Mill Farm in the next few hours with up to 40mm of rainfall forecast.
