A family from North Somerset whose daughter was badly injured on her pushbike are warning about the dangers of cycling without a helmet.
14-year-old Shannon Filer from Wrington was lucky to escape with a broken collar bone, nose, broken teeth and severe bruising after she collided with a coach when her brakes failed.
A couple who took action to silence the chimes of a village church at night have changed their minds. The bells of All Saints at Wrington had sounded every 15 minutes until the new residents complained to North Somerset Council, forcing them to issue a Noise Abatement Notice.
Jonathan Apps and Tina Hallett now say they have asked the local authority not to pursue the case following conciliation meetings with the church. More details here http://www.wringtonsomerset.org.uk/
